Serving Hampstead for 35 years! We are Hampstead’s longest established Dental Practice providing all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry using the most advanced materials and techniques. We specialise in preventative and minimally invasive dentistry (microdentistry), and particularly in calming nervous patients. Microdentistry preserves more tooth structure which gives better long term results as well as being more economical.

Our dental practice team is made up of a versatile and highly trained set of dentists, dental nurses and hygienists.

Dr Nicholas Mikniche – Dental Surgeon

I was born in Croatia, but spent my formative years in Sydney, Australia, where I graduated as a Dental Surgeon from the highly respected Sydney University, Australia’s oldest university.

In the last thirty years I have owned and run 4 dental clinics and practises.

These have ranged from a social dental clinic providing care for all sectors or the community to very specialised private practice clinics.

Prior to entering the dental faculty I took the opportunity to observe life through the study of Hotel Management but then chose Dentistry as

I felt it better fulfilled my need to enter a profession which would satisfy my intellect as well as my desire to assist humanity.

As my interest lies in people, I look towards treating the complete person and not just mechanically repairing their separate parts i.e. teeth, soft tissue, jaws, joints and surrounding muscles, and poor oral appearance with the resulting detrimental psychological and social affects that this causes.

As a result of total approach towards treating an individual, I call this a ‘holistic’ approach to dentistry, and over the years I have developed and refined my expertise in order to fulfil my objectives.

Dentistry is both a science and an art. It is evolving very rapidly and as a result a true professional, who cares about his patients, must keep abreast of these changes and always be anticipating the next step forward.

Dr Elaine Di Bernardi – Dental Surgeon

Elaine qualified as a dentist in 2000 from the Southern Brazil at UFSC (Federal University of Santa Catarina).

She had her own dental surgery in Florianopolis (city famously called the ‘magic island’ due to its natural beauty) working along in community dentistry basing her practice in prevention and restorative dentistry.

She is passionate about her work and continuously attends courses in Dentistry aiming to provide high standard dental treatment for her patients. She is particularly interested is in Cosmetic, Restorative and Aesthetics Dentistry, combining her knowledge in Evidence-Based Dentistry.

Qualifications: Masters of Science in Dental Public Health at UCL 2013 (London), Forensic Human Identification Certificate at AFMS 2011 (London), Advanced Composite Restorations for Anterior Teeth at UFSC 2008, Diploma in Family/Public Health at UFSC 2005 and Certificate in Paediatric Dentistry and Dentistry for Babies at ABO 2001(Brazil). She trained in Facial Aesthetics in the UK and Brazil, providing treatments since 2009. Cosmetic treatments provided: Botulinum toxins and dermal fillers (including Profhilo).

She is completing her Certificate in Hypnosis to help with anxious patients as also patients who wish to stop-smoking.

Well-known by her friendly approach, Elaine likes to make her patients comfortable and cared. She believes that a healthy and beautiful smile can bring happiness through restoring people’s confidence. Elaine speaks English, Portuguese and understands well Spanish. She loves to spend time with her friends and family and enjoys travelling around the world.
